Stephanie Metz is a teacher, writer, and scholar based in Knoxville, Tennessee. A lifetime of reading culminated in earning a doctorate in American literature, specializing in nineteenth and twentieth-century women writers. She currently teaches first-year composition, professional writing, literature, and film. Offline she can be found chasing her pound puppy, Darcy, around the house, and putting her countless hours of foodie TV viewing to use in the kitchen.
